I ordered this watch from Amazon, but apparently Amazon just refers the sale to Watch Colony. I know this because when Watch Colony sent me the wrong watch and I contacted Amazon about the error, they told me to refer the problem to them. I did so. WC told me to return the watch and they would refund the price. They did not provide a shipping label to return it; instead telling me I should just let them know how much shipping was and they would send me a money order for that amount. I returned the watch and the price of the watch was refunded a month ago. Follow up inquires to WC about shipping charges have been ignored. So I spent $5.14 of my own money correcting their mistake and an hour or so of my time re-packing the watch and taking it to the UPS store for nothing. I cannot rate this watch, since I never received it. My recommendation is not to do business with Watch Colony.

The day after I posted the review above I finally received a refund of shipping charges from Watch Colony. (In fact, they sent $6, so I give them some credit for that.)

I have had my GW800D-V1 for two weeks and love it. It has a manly look and feels good on the wrist too. I get the time signal every night in San Diego at 004hrs. I love all of the features and will use the UK / German signals when I travel to Europe. Having all of the world time zones is perfect for my travel plans.

I am very particular about my watches, and have been searching for a very long time for the "RIGHT" one ... this is it. It has all the typical features most guys would like, including time/stopwatch/timer/world time/multiple time zones/ light/ solar power/ digital time view/ date/ etc, etc. Also, nice and heavy and good looking! This is the last watch I will search for.

I spent more time than I care to admit looking at many different types of sports watches. My main objective was to get a watch that was tough, easy to read, had a stop watch + count down timer, was solar powered, had a stainless band and was good looking. The auto synchronization was a bonus and it works exactly as described. It synchs every night no problem and keeps precise time. I like the way it looks BUT more importantly it had to be durable and tough. I had a G-Shock before and it was very hard to kill. The one thing I wasn't crazy about was the band. It had the plastic strap and velcro fastener which worked good at first but over time, not so good. When I bought this watch, in February it was $79.99 and I would buy it again even with the increase in price. The solar works great (NO battery to hassle with replacing) and a couple hours in the sun keeps it fully charged for weeks. If you want to spend more go ahead, but this watch is a great buy for the money!
